--from the down town area you can walk to reach the archdiocesan museum.
--or take a jeep ride going to cathedral. just tell the driver to drop you off at the cathedral.

BASILICA DEL SANTO NINO MUSEUM

The museum was first established in the year 1065 by Fr. Ambrosio J. Galindez, OSA, mainly for the purpose of commemoration of the fourth centennial celebration of christianization of the Philippines. The main objective of the museum is to make people aware of the origin, circumstances and events related to the formal christianization of the Philippines through the images of Senyor Sto. Nino.
Inside the museum are the old artifacts of sto.nino, rare accessories, old vestments of senyor sto. nino dating back 16th century, collection of velvet, embroidered and metal designs.
Other precious artifacts such as the 18th century organ and harp from the shrine, church collections, old books with cover by the animal skin, jars, statues, furniture, etc. silver / bronze altar ornaments, pillars and candelabras.
You can also find here the collections / souvenirs / donations of the devotees such as the holy rosary, photos, toys, different kind of money currency, jewelries, antique religious images, altar linens, and many more.
