USEFUL TIPS IN HIKING



TIP'S

----know your environment. research and ask friends who have been there.
----make sure you pack enough water for your hike.
----you don't need to bring loads of foods. a biscuits, sandwich, egg, chocolate could be your power food.
----bring matches or lighter even on a day trip.
----accidents are inevitable. bring a first aid kit and make sure you know how to use it.
---take careful steps. the wilderness is not a place for recklessness.


---respect the wild be conscious of your actions.
-----know how far you have to go to get proper medical care.
----never hike alone, if possible
----your group should hike with the slowest walker in front and the fastest at the back.
----take regular break to eat and drink. pace yourself so you have energy to complete the hike.
----Waterproof all your stuff ( rap all your stuff with plastic bag and put it on a waterproof bag, this is in preparation for rain encounter so that all your things are secured. )


-----hike with permit ( proper permission to the barangay's personnel ) and with medical clearance with your doctor that you are fit to climb.
----ask permission or let your love one know that you are hiking on that day ( first day and last day of hike. )
-----When hiking, stay on the designated trails ( always and always follow and obey the instructions of your guide )
----clean your campsite before leaving ( dispose your waste properly )
----plan ahead and prepare yourself ( planning is very important when climbing followed by preparing yourself. prepared yourself by exercising / running to measured your endurance. trained or condition yourself a minimum of  2 months preparation )
