TRAVEL GUIDE: PANGLAO BOHOL


Panglao is a 4th municipal income class municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines. 18 kilometres (11 mi) from Tagbilaran. It is one of two municipalities that make up Panglao Island (the other being Dauis), and its territory also includes the three smaller islands of Balicasag, Gak‑ang, and Pontod (or Pungtud, also known as Virgin Island). Panglao is known for its diving locations and tourist resorts.
The name Panglao may have come from its former name Panglawod, meaning "to the open sea",or derived from the word panggaw, referring to a fishing implement used by locals.
 

HOW TO GET THERE

---From Tubigon port ride a Bus or VAN going to Tagbilaran ( time travel 1.5 hours ) fare Php60 via VAN drop off at Island City Mall.

----From Island City mall we decided to have some lunch at Greenwich and buy some food stuff's later.
---After a lunch break and grocery for some food stuff, we proceeds to the terminal ( just in front of Island City Mall )
---Ride a jeep going to Panglao via Tawala or Alona ( just tell the driver to drop you off at Alona )

---Note---- 

----Things to consider for traveling going to Panglao Monday to Friday 9pm is the last trip.
---Fare Php25/pax ( travel time 45 minutes )
---20 minutes interval of the jeep
----At Alona highway ( chill out at Dunkin Donut ) while still undecided where to stay. and after a few minute of thinking we finally decided to stay at Citadel Alona Bed and Breakfast.
 

WHERE TO STAY

---- We booked our stay at Citadel Alona Bed and Breakfast for one night.
Citadel Alona is located just along the highway ( Hontanosas Road Brgy. Tawala, Panglao Bohol ) you may contact them at 09234569590 / 09154636944. Citadel Alona is one of the cheapest rate in room accommodation for as low as Php780/night.

AMENITIES 

---You can cook here, you can use their kitchen utensils, refrigerator, heater, all available materials in the kitchen.
---Free of Water ( hot and cold)
---Free wifi ( just ask at the information for the password )
 
---You can used their veranda area to dine your food
---They have a sofa wherein you can chill and relax ( books and magazine are free for reading ) 
---All rooms are common C.R
---At the lower area, all are surrounded with art gallery

----After the booking at Citadel it's time to Explore the area of Panglao---
---This beautiful scenery restaurant is just across the hi-way...i really like the place the koi fish will captured your heart for sure!.

----After booking and all, relax a bit and explore the area of Panglao. We take a dinner at Jazz restaurant with a live band performance. relax and chill while listening to their bit of songs.

( with miming at our side ) i thinks she like me...hehe
-----After a lovely dinner we take a seat  at the shore just to chill more and talk for more anything under the moon----
----And ....... cant help our-self to eat our favorite Pinoy specialty the "BALOT" 
-----Cheers my baby-----
----And after that, Go to our hotel to take a rest ( lights off at 10pm )----


-----DAY 2 ESCAPED----

----We just take a light breakfast at the hotel and take off to explore more the beauty of Panglao in the morning side view.

-----Good morning Panglao..........RISE AND SHINE-------
----THE MAIN AGENDA........................A none stop pictorial under the sun---- 
----At the shore you may encounter a group of dove playing around.......its nice to them flying without any hesitation to the people around them......you may try to play with them just like what she did........keep running baby.........
-----After the pictorial and all.....its nice to reward yourself the a very delicious ice cream ( Bohol bee farm ice cream very famous in Bohol you must try their ice cream )
----And of course ice cream is not enough specially summer season .......must try the fruit shake ( mango shake )
-----Then, time is up its time to pack up our things and go back to Tagbilaran the reach the travel time going to Tubigon.


---NOTE----

----Going to Tagbilaran ( via tricycle ) just take note for the 4 digit number at the front of tricycle fare is Php30 per head...drop off at Island City Mall or just negotiate the driver to take you at the Terminal were the Bus and VAN hiding ( proper negotiation and kaserma is a must )
