Eating with bare hands is a "tatak pinoy".......for me eating with your hands is more enjoyable / delicious than with spoon and fork. here are my list of some establishment wherein you can enjoy more in eating your meal.

Punko-punko is a bisaya term wherein you can eat and seat just at the corner of the street..it is a small space with a few chair and at the center of your table is an assorted fried from longganisa, choriso, ham, lumpia, pork chop, pork / beef / chicken intestine, etc. and partner it with the famous "PUSO" hanging rice...at Cebu punko-punko is located mostly outside the school establishment.

Siomai sa Tisa is very famous this is my highly recommended the moment you visited the Island of Cebu. and yes this is very affordable for just 5 pesos each...for sili lover you will love most of this siomai because of it's sauce.....

HOW TO GET HERE


---From down town area ( colon ) ride a jeep going to Labangon ( Php7 fare ). Siomai sa Tisa is located at Tisa Labangon...just tell the driver to drop you off at Siomai sa Tisa ( you will not be lost the moment you are reaching the area you can just notice vendors of siomai at the street. ) perfect to get here is at night around 7pm....

BEST OF TUBIGON, BOHOL



HISTORY OF TUBIGON
The first settlers in Tubigon settled along the shores of the river that flows through the community. Their exact origins are unknown but they are thought to be early Malays from southeast Asian countries, migrating to the Philippines in small bangkas. Seasonal overflowing of the river flooded the community and led the place to be called "Tubigan" (meaning "place having water" or "watery"), which later morphed into "Tubigon" (meaning "place abounding in water"). The first record of the town of Tubigon dates from the early part of the 17th century.
In 1816, the community organized itself under a recognized headman, Yguiz Hutora, who was succeeded by teniente Mijares and by teniente Matong in 1818. A chapel was built on an elevated site of the settlement but had no officiating priest. A coadjutor of the Spanish friars from the Calape parish would perform the religious ceremonies.
In 1819, by authority of the Spanish Governor of Cebu, Tubigon was formally organized into an independent town by separating from the town of Calape, with Capitan Teniente Matong becoming the first gobernadorcillo.
Starting in 1852, the exact boundaries of the municipality were defined. On 8 March of that year, sitio Bacane was made the boundary between Tubigon and Inabanga. In 1856, the boundary with Calape was fixed at Mandaug. On 19 June 1865, the boundary between Tubigon and Catigbian was set at the Sampilangon River and on 14 September 1913, the boundary with Antequera (currently San Isidro) was fixed at sitio Tubod.
On 31 January 1919, Tubigon lost five barrios when Clarin was formed by virtue of proclamation by Governor Yeater.
Tubigon was badly affected by the 2013 Bohol earthquake, suffering 11 fatalities and damage to some 7,300 homes, as well as total destruction of its town hall and church.

The place is so relaxing....surely i will get back here and stay for a night perfect to fix my tent here....to witness the beautiful sunrise of Bohol.

familiar with this fruity thing?? me?? this is my first time..... they call this as "manok-manok" ( i don't know ngano manok-manok ila tawag ani wa may shape or form sa manok ani...hehe....kidding aside ) there local name and yes....... its edible...... and its sweet and yummy i like the tasted for me its taste like strawberry and chico in one.  

and this???? again this is my first time to saw and taste this thing. they call this as "bognay" honestly i don't really like the taste its taste maasim / aslom ra kaayo....mura siya og lumboy......

FROG CATCHING ( BAKI )

It was late at night when the troops decided to catch a frog...eating frog is one of my bucket list to eat ever since i am aiming for this.. so the moment they mention in catching  frog i got excited and joined them where to and how to catch a frog....

We cross the river of Barangay Macaas just to catch frog ( sorry i did not take photo's in action catching a frog )
Special "thank you" to the troops ( friendly neighborhood ) for the effort....you made my day extra special for this experience thank you so much....... 


HOW TO CUT / CLEAN THE FROG

The cutting of head then followed by undressing the skin of the frog ( used the ash for undressing )

If its already good....wash it again with clean water


HOW TO COOK THE FROG ( ADOBO STYLE )

Cut the ingredients ( onion, garlic ) mix with vinegar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper

Put it on the fry pan and wait until it cook ( special thank you to Mr. Cano for the cooking effort )

Then wait to served...........the yummy adobo frog
SARAP TO THE BONE.......
As my expectation never failed me its delicious it taste like chicken and take note its more nutritious benefits than chicken ( because of there life style cycle )

CATCHING ASIAN WATER MONITOR LIZARD ( HAW ) AND KANGKONG PICKING


It was fine good afternoon when the troops invited me to joined them in catching haw ( local / bisaya term ). Prepare for more river crossing.
They made a trap ( a day before )
and we got one....
kangkong picking at the farm ( i really like this thing.......simple living...getting your food for free )
