Whitewater rafting in Cagayan De Oro ( MUST TRY )

Cagayan de Oro (CebuanoDakbayan sa Cagayan de OroFilipinoLungsod ng Cagayan de Oro) is a first class highly urbanized and capital city of the province of Misamis Oriental in Mindanao, southern part of the Philippines. It serves as the regional center and business hubs for Northern Mindanao (Region X), and is part of the growing Metropolitan Cagayan de Oro area, which includes the city of El Salvador.
The City of Cagayan de Oro is located along the central coast of northern Mindanao island facing the Macajalar Bay and is bordered by the municipalities of Opol to the west;Tagoloan to the east, and provinces of Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte to the south of city. 
Cagayan de Oro is famous for its whitewater rafting or kayaking adventures, one of the tourism activities being promoted along the Cagayan de Oro River.


Getting here to try white water rafting adventure you should coordinate to your contact for the proper schedule of your water rafting adventure. i booked my schedule to the white water rafting club here in cagayan ( 09359941692 just look for tata ) just coordinate to them your date to experience water rafting and your arrival time. 



in whitewater rafting club free pick-up back in forth. you may also choose different kind of leveling  experience in water rafting from beginners to professional level. since this is my first time i choose i beginner level ( charge Php700/pax ).




at the area point of water rafting. there will be an orientation, discussion to does and don't things to do in water rafting. listen very carefully to the guide instructions. proper coordination and team work is a must.




NOTE:

---ware comfortable outfit 
---- i suggest to ware with sleeve shirt for your sun protection
---do not put sunblock that easily fade by water ( it will just irritate on your eyes )
---do not eat to full if you are schedule for water rafting
---bring under water camera to avoid extra charges of your photos captured



in beginner level 11 stages of rapid you will encounter surely you will enjoy with a ghost bump inside your heart along the way..............scream out loud..........


go with the flow of the water..........just enjoy the ride..........

HOW TO GET TO CAGAYAN DE ORO?

As the gateway to Northern Mindanao region and the rest of Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro is very accessible via land, air and water transportations.

Ports

Port of Cagayan de Oro in Macabalan area is located near the estuary of Cagayan de Oro River. It has an anchorage depth of 18 meters and is around 400 meters from the shoreline. It has two authorized cargo-handling operators. 
The Port of Cagayan de Oro (Macabalan Port) serves regular cities trips to and from Metro ManilaCebu CityTagbilaranBacolodDumagueteIloilo City and Jagna, Bohol.
 This city's sub-port connects Mindanao to the ports of major cities in Visayas, Batangas, Metro Manila and the rest of the world.

Airport


The new airport of Cagayan de Oro, called Laguindingan Airport, provides domestic flights to and from ManilaCebu CityIloilo City and Davao City. The new Laguindingan Airport, which replaced Lumbia Airport, site in Barangay Moog, Laguindingan, some 46 kilometres (29 mi) northwest of Cagayan de Oro.

Bus terminals

Several means of public transportation are also available within the city. A number of companies also operate taxi services. There are also a couple of river taxis that ply down to the Cagayan de Oro River for both locals and tourists.
The Eastbound integrated Bus Terminal (Agora) offers a regular landtrips to and from eastern municipalities of Misamis OrientalGingoogButuanCabadbaranBayuganProsperidad,San FranciscoSurigao CityTandagBisligBukidnon including Malaybalay and Valencia, Wao, Lanao del SurDavao CityTagumKabacanCotabato CityIsulanTacurong and General Santos.
Westbound Integrated Bus and Jeepney Terminal is also offering a regular land trips to and from western municipalities of Misamis Oriental including El Salvador and LaguindinganIligan,TubodMarawiOroquietaTangubOzamizDapitanDipolog, and the rest of Zamboanga Peninsula including PagadianIpil and Zamboanga City
