Buntod Reef Marine Sanctuary
Masbate is my home sweet home place, ever since i heard this place buntod i always wanted to go there because its only take around 10-15 mins. ( pump-boat ) from the city.
let's go...............yahooooooooooooooo..........
HOW TO GET TO BUNTOD?
---- Buntod is at the city of Masbate proper ( just 15-20minutes travel via pump-boat )
---From the down town area of Masbate ride a tricycle ( fare php8 ) going to boulevard ( Rendevous resort to be specific )
Rendevous Resort is the way to get to the buntod. and pay the entrance fee at the resort Php10/pax.
---or the newly port waiting area going to Buntod at Tugburan himomoro ( fare Php8 via tricycle ) no entrance fee
----or go to boulevard area to hired a private pumpboat going to buntod reef. ( rate of charge may vary to the number of person on board Php200-500 two way )
Buntod marine sanctuary now has a lot to offer to the tourist, they have more cottages ( floating cottage ) and water activity.

> snorkeling is the best with a perfect coral reefs and giant clams that surely you will enjoy ( i highly recommended this kind of activity )

> scuba diving with license ( optional ) 5 days training--------Php12,000
> guide fee--------------------------------------------------Php50/pax
> camera underwater ( your own memory card )------.--------Php100/hour
> pump-boat fee------------------------------------------Php500 for 5 pax ( Php800 for more than 5 pax )
> kayaking-----------------------------------------Php100/hour
> Island hopping ( catandayagan falls, burobangkaso, halea )---------Php8000
> you can set up tent for your own cottage
( just in form the in-charge ahead if you wanted to do overnight )--------------Php200 overnight fee for the light usage.
NOTE:
> if you don't have a tent the mangrove will be your shelter from the sun.
> please obey the rules all the time ( follow all the instructions of your guide for your own safety )
> fishing is not allowed
> giants clams are all over the area, more fish to discover underwater
> proper throwing of garbage is needed.

HOW TO GET TO MASBATE?
By bus
There's a daily trip going to Masbate via RORO bus, the terminal is locate at Cubao, this is part of the nautical highway, the bus will be carried by the RORO boat,from Pilar to Masbate City port, is just ₱1,050 one way for aircon buses, ₱800 for one way for ordinary buses.
By plane
Airphil express, flying daily is now the only carrier from Manila to Masbate as Zest-air ceased flying to Masbate in May 2013. Cebu pacific also flies four times weekly from Cebu to Masbate having taken over the vacant Zest air slot.Please be aware that both airlines can and do cancel at very short notice, and it is not unusual to be returning to either Manila or Cebu when in flight due to poor weather conditions at Masbate. Both airlines leave from their respective terminals during early morning.
By boat
Via Pilar in the province of Sorsogon. By Fastcraft, it is a two hr ride from there, much longer if using other ferry options, which is what most of the people traveling to and from the province use. There are also boats from Lucena in Luzon and Cebu in the Visayas.
