Masbate Cathedral, formally known as the Cathedral-Parish of Saint Anthony of Padua, is a Roman Catholic church located on Quezon Street in Masbate CityMasbate Province, the Philippines. It is the cathedral or seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Masbate.
It belongs to the Vicariate of St. Anthony of Padua, which includes also Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Malinta, Masbate City and St. Nicholas of Tolentino Parish in Mobo. It was founded in 1578 by Spanish Missionaries. The present rector of the cathedral is Rev. Ismael B. Misolas.

It was founded in 1578 by Spanish Missionaries.
In 1951, the parish became a part of the newly erected Roman Catholic Diocese of Sorsogon, of which Rev. Teopisto Alberto was its first Bishop. Then parish priest Msgr. Arnulfo Arcilla (later made bishop of Sorsogon) laid down the foundation of the first structures of the cathedral-parish in 1954.

Its center floor and isle was of course preserved as well as some vestiges of the cross-shaped part of the ceiling. Msgr. Joel Z. Baylon, the second successor to Episcopacy in the Diocese of Masbate, initiated this venture and was supported by Msgr. Quintin Feraren Jr., together with all the parish priests and faithful here and abroad. The Cathedral was blessed and dedicated on September 25, 2004.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF KOI FISH

Koi (?English /ˈkɔɪ/Japanese: [koꜜi]) or more specifically nishikigoi (錦鯉?[niɕi̥kiꜜɡo.i], literally "brocaded carp"), are a group of fish that are ornamental varieties of domesticatedcommon carp (Cyprinus carpio) that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor koi ponds or water gardens.
Koi varieties are distinguished by coloration, patterning, and scalation. Some of the major colors are white, black, red, yellow, blue, and cream. The most popular category of koi is theGosanke, which is made up of the KohakuTaisho Sanshoku, and Showa Sanshoku varieties.

VIDEO CLIP OF MY KOI FISH
The major named varieties of kio include: Kohaku, Taisho Sanke, Showa Sanke, Tanchō, Chagoi, Asagi, Utsurimono, Bekko, Goshiki, Shūsui, Kinginrin, Kawarimono, Ōgon, Kumonryū, Ochiba, Koromo, Hikari-moyomono, Kikokuryū, Kin-Kikokuryū, Ghost koi, Butterfly koi, Doitsu-goi.

HERE ARE MY SUGGESTION TIPS ON HOW TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF KOI FISH

------1st----

You have a proper space pond area of your koi fish average space should be 3x6x5. 6 feet length, 3 feet wide, and at least 5 feet deep. (of course the bigger the better ) for a healthier koi fish.

-------NOTE:--------

--- Koi fish is recommended in pond outdoor area in-order for them to grow healthy.
----Koi fish is not advisable to a bowl ( small space ) koi fish should not be happy and healthy on that small space.

------2nd---
Good quality of filtration is very important.
------3rd---
Good aerator for their oxygen.
------4th---
In cleaning filter sponge ( in my case i clean it every 3 days ) cleaning of filter sponge may vary to the number of your fish you have. from time to time just check your filter if it is clean / clear.

-----NOTE:------

---In cleaning the sponge of filter make sure your using the water without chlorine content. if you don't have a choice using water with chlorine make sure you drain properly the sponge before using it.

------5th----
The water you need in your pond is the water that has no chlorine content ( if you have no choice to used water with chlorine content make sure that you have a treatment for anti-chlorine chemical you can buy that from the pet shop.

-----NOTE:-----

----Perfect water to used in your pond are the rain water ( without too pollution / if your place to too polluted do not used the rain water ) water comes from deep wheel.

-----6th---
----Replacing old water to new water ( in replacing the old water of your pond  make sure you have a remaining at least 10%-20% of old water ( do not drain it all ) then pour in the new water.

-----7th---
Feeding, in feeding time feed them 2 times a day ( minimal amount of feeding )

This is my recommended feed for your koi fish in order for them to grow faster and healthy.

----NOTE:-----

----In feeding you should time-in your way of feeding. 3-5 minute all your food should be consumed by your koi fish no more floating of food because to much feed can kill your koi fish.
----If their is no electricity power do not feed your koi fish wait until the power on.

----8th---
If your koi fish is already an adult stage it will lay an egg.

-----NOTE:-----

---In releasing of their egg make sure you have an artificial material for catching their thousands of eggs. ( in may case i made an artificial grass. ( koi fish will recognized your artificial grass as their home to lay their eggs ) my artificial grass is made of net, straw, and yarn make sure that you material is color green to make it more real in the eyes of koi fish.
---If you saw their egg in your artificial grass make sure to pull them out and put them in a separate space ( if not they will be eaten by your koi fish ) used your aerator only for their oxygen.

-----9th----
In hatching time ( hatching of their egg takes 3-5 days ) fry or baby koi fish will be born ( tiny little fry )

----NOTE:-----

---In feeding your fry. you can used an alternative way, boil egg and feed them with the yellow one ( just feed them once a day. small amount of yellow egg only. or if you don't have an egg you can dig / smash  your food to feed them.
---Fry fish could not recognized your feed they will just swim and swim until they crossed to it.
---In 3-4 months time you can already recognized your goldfish. nice color of goldfish comes out little by little.
---In 6 months times koi fish grow at least 2 inch. and their color keep on changing ( permanent color of koi fish fix until they reach at  adult stage )

-----10th----
---If you have a new koi fish do not put them together in one pond. instead, put it in a separate space for one week ( just observed the behavior on your new koi fish in order to avoid contamination of parasite just in case your new koi fish has it. )

----NOTE:------

---If your koi fish die get it quickly to avoid contamination of parasite of other koi fish.
---Or if your koi fish is not healthy or sickly put them on a separate space to avoid contamination also. ( just observed, you can buy some vitamins stuff you need at the pet shop. )

---How to notice if your koi fish is sick or unhealthy??? usually if they are not feeling will they are just in the corner of your pond ( not moving well ) or if they are not healthy their body is not in a good color ( some dis-coloration of their skin ).

---You can also put in together in one space the goldfish and koi fish ( long tail and common goldfish to be specific and koi fish for nice breeding result.
koi fish last for 30- 50 years so handle them with care to last them longer. ( there also a documentation that koi fish last for 100-200 years )

------For filter and aerator brand-----
my highly recommend the black knight and precision brand
( note: in 1 year or more of using this 24 hours none stop. in case not working anymore just check it, for sure it is stock of waste of your fish. clean it then it will work again )
For more of your need to your koi fish you can check it to the pet shop near you.
( in Cebu you can check it at Manalili area and SM mall )

Some other choices feed of your koi fish.
